The story of a tree...Fave Foto Saturday (holiday edition)

The holidays are officially here. Thanksgiving 2015 is in the books and for the Corbid family, it's time to dive into decorating and enjoying those memorable holiday moments and traditions.

We just returned from a few days in Park Rapids, MN to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. Years ago, we thought it would be fun to cut down a tree while we were there and bring it home with us to Stillwater (about 4 hours). Let's just say -- the tree didn't make it and we may have caused a significant backup on I94. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

It has taken years for us to attempt that trip home again with a tree...until this year. In the spirit of the holiday, we joined our cousins to chop down a tree at Grandpa John's. I'm happy to report, with several "tree check stops", that we made it home safely...with the tree.

Remembering moments like this binds our family together and has given our extended family a few laughs over the years. The holidays are the perfect opportunity to not only capture the present, but bring those past stories to life, whether it's through photos, videos or capturing them in writing. For us, it's a little family glue.

Wishing you a holiday season full of stories and moments captured!
